SEM -V

The subject aims to develop the students’ creativity, design skills, and ability to conceptualize and execute a collection that is in line with the target market and brand identity. The subject also teaches students how to build a strong portfolio that showcases their work and demonstrates their design Style and aesthetic.

The course aims to teach students the fundamentals of quality control, inspection, testing, and management to ensure that garments meet the required standards and specifications.

The objective of the subject is to provide students with an understanding of the different types of fabrics and their care requirements. Students will learn about the various methods of textile care, including washing, ironing, and dry cleaning, as well as how to identify common textile problems and their solutions. The course will cover topics such as fabric testing, stain removal techniques, and proper storage methods, as well as the environmental impact of textile care practices.
The objective of the subject is to understand the apparel retail industry structure and its evolution over time and learn about the various channels of retail distribution, including physical stores and online platforms.

This subject aims to provide students with an understanding of design concepts and principles and develop their artistic skills through the creation of an art portfolio.

This subject aims to develop the students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively manage the quality of apparel products from design to production and delivery.

The subject provides the students with an understanding of the characteristics, properties, and uses of various types of fabrics. This subject aims to develop the students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities to select appropriate fabrics for different apparel products and understand the impact of fabric selection on product quality, cost, and sustainability
The objective of the subject is to provide students with an understanding of the techniques and skills required for draping and needlecraft in apparel production. This subject aims to develop the students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities to create apparel designs through the manipulation of fabric and the use of various needlecraft techniques.
The subject provides the students with an opportunity to apply the knowledge, skills, and techniques they have acquired throughout their fashion design education in the creation of a final design project. This subject aims to develop the students’ ability to conceptualize, develop, and present a cohesive and professional fashion design collection.
